Pictures!

Pictures!

I didn't get any pictures of IL (because I was sleeping), or Indiana because I didn't feel like it.

Here's Kentucky!
Pretty state, easy roads to drive, not much else to say...

Then we passed into West Virginia!
Pretty state, mountainous state.
We say prime examples of Appalachia (sorry Connor, no washing machines in the front yard)

Here is an under exposed picture of a cute town in WV.

FINALLY -----VIRGINIA!
(I don't have a picture of a welcome sign because we were on a backroad and it was dark, so the sign was small and there was no way to get a good picture of it)

BUT- Here is a picture of the Williamsburg welcome sign.

The area is lovely and the main interstate is beautiful.
(It looks kind of like the stretch of Hwy. 44 between Eureka and Fenton, but not as hilly as Antire Hill)

More picture coming soon! Including the beach
(it's going to be 70 degrees here tomorrow so we are going to the beach!!!!!)

Here!

We are here in Williamsburg! We arrived at 10:30 AM, then drove around looking at different houses until 4:00 PM (when our condo was ready!) We are all VERY ready to eat dinner and get to bed. We have another 4+ hours of looking at houses to figure out which one we want to see with the realtor on Wednesday/Thursday. Out of the 7 houses we saw, there are 3 we want to see with the realtor. We have 16 more houses to look at tomorrow!

I will try to upload pictures later!

A Packing We Will Go, A Packing We Will Go...

AHHHHHHH! Everything is CRAZY around here! There are bins everywhere!
AND we are trying to get ready for Thanksgiving!
AND we are packing for our house hunting trip!
Here is my room...
Brilliant me drug all of my (HEAVY) bins of books right in front of my dresser drawers. So getting clothes out is my weight lifting exercise each day!
Here is the empty back closet (all the bins are now stacked in the living room/craft room-see below)

This is our living room and school room stuff, basically boxed and waiting for Brian to haul it to the sides of the room.
This is our luggage for our trip to Williamsburg ("The Burg" as the local call it)
I do feel a bit sorry for the person who is planning on going snorkeling (see the bright pink bag in front). Last time I checked, the temperature there was 52 F, so snorkeling will have to wait.

Now, I have a question for all of you!
There are two last minute packers in our house (one who never has time to pack until last minute. The other one claims to prefer packing this way, but really just puts it off until the last possible moment, then this person packs when both parents ask where his or her bag is every time they see this child. This person then gets stuck with his or her luggage under his or her feet the entire ride because Dad has already closed the luggage rack and there is no more room in the car ;)
So leave a comment and guess who are to last minute packers are!

An Update and the Zoo

Well, we sold the house. It passed inspection and now the only stipulation is on the closing of the buyer's house! We will however be heading to Virginia before Christmas... So, we are trying to fit in as much as possible with our family and friends, while still packing, doing school and getting ready to visit Williamsburg/Newport News and preparing for Christmas!

We recently enjoyed an afternoon at the zoo with some good friends of ours...

Boo was in charge of navigation (maybe that's why we kept going in circles)
This penguin is real, I promise! For some reason it looks very fake here.
Lions now scare Boo "to death". So if she sees a picture of any large cat she declares-
"That thing is scaring me to DEATH"
or (my personal favorite)
"I is freaking out!!!!!"
Boo named this snake Katie.
